The iTHEMBA vision is of a continent on which all our people have access to sustainable, secure, real structures that will contribute to an improved quality of life, leading to a peaceful, prosperous and motivated Africa.

The concept of new urbanism emphasises co-ordination between long term land use, housing and transportation planning as an essential pillar for smart growth. It recognises the importance of spatial or geographic proximity, layout and an integrated design of those uses. There is a lingering resistance in many area to set aside well-located land for low-income households. The resistance is related to pressure from high-income groups who wish to avoid perceived devaluation of their properties from being near housing of a lower standard.

An iTHEMBA structure offers a secure living experience where families can gather to talk, eat, sleep and feel safe while learners and communities can be educated in an efficient environment. A structure that will take a short time to build and yet offer more security than any other on the market. A structure with value and return on investment for all involved.

The iTHEMBA solution will be driven and implemented through ongoing training and skills development programs and will increase the availability of housing and education for all Africans. This approach will ensure sustained development and growth patterns of any population in a positive and managed environment.

Our system is quick to build and easy to learn from a skills transfer point of view and provides a housing, education or community structure stronger than the standard bricks and mortar option. The entire process is managed in-factory and all external assembly is managed on site by qualified iTHEMBA site/project managers. The iTHEMBA manufacturing process can allow for growth opportunities within other African countries where the demand deems it viable.
